Philippines' very own Gabbi Garcia & Alexa Ilacad meet Maybelline IT Girl Gigi Hadid in Tokyo, Japan for the collection's press launch in Asia

Last October 2017, everyone was so excited to hear that Maybelline New York, the number one global makeup brand that we Filipinas love, released one of their biggest collections in collaboration with the global IT girl, Gigi Hadid. Since then, millions of girls worldwide obsessed over every product in the collection including me!

Within barely a month of hitting selected stores in the Philippines, the collection has been sold out. The collection greatly fit the different skin tones of Filipinas that the sales of the collection had no signs of slowing down.

From NYC to the Philippines, Gigi x Maybelline makeup line has moved and is shaking the beauty scene at one of the most dynamic cities in Asia: Tokyo, Japan. Luckily, two of our very own girls got to meet the Maybelline IT girl behind the collection. I really hopped on and was so jealous with Alexa Ilacad and Gabbi Garcia on their trip to Japan to attend the launch. Everything was really so perfect, as perfect as the collection that Maybelline launched! The girls even had the chance to learn first-hand tips and experience lots of playing around with products in an exclusive master class led by Gigi and her makeup guru slash Maybelline New York's Global Makeup Artist, Erin Parsons.

Alexa: I was so excited when I got my very own Gigi collection from Maybelline last year - I swatched EVERYTHING immediately! I got hooked. And now to actually meet the Maybelline girl behind this amazing collection in Tokyo? My 2018's already made!

Gabbi: I’m still not over it! Getting to know Gigi plus the whole team behind the makeup collection and learning from the best in the industry really made this trip one of the most unforgettable opportunities I've had.
